The Wedding Fayre and the Polaroid Camera

| Comments

Last Sunday, Benjie and I went to Gosport to visit my family and also to attend the Wedding Fayre held at the Alverbank Hotel. The Wedding Fayre was quite enjoyable; despite there being many sales people we weren’t pressured into buying anything on the day. We made quite a few contacts and gathered a few ideas for flowers and table decorations and posh, old cars. Mostly the prices were really reasonable too, nothing like the figures I’ve run into before! There were a couple of vouchers and samples given out, and these will be used to full advantage!

Back at home, my grandparents came round to see us. They came bearing a birthday present too. It turned out to be a polaroid camera! Something I hadn’t seen for a long time, and something that I wanted for the wedding day. I think it’ll be a nice idea to take polaroid photos of all the guests and for them to write a message on the bottom of the photo. It’s much more personal than a guestbook message, I think. What do you think?

This is a diary I was given by a florist at the fayre. Its very useful, with different sections to put in fabric samples, stationary samples, an guest list, an address book, an appointments list and a six month planner. All of that information is currently on random bits of paper so to have it all in one place will be really handy! Mum also pointed out that it can go with the biographies and information my Gran is collecting about our family history.
This is the camera. A big clunky thing in this day and age! My brothers and I couldn’t wait to try it out. Thanks so much for this, Granny and Granddad! I hope all of our guests are ready for their photos to be taken on the big day!
